• For help with reservations, call SAA Reservations using the number ………………. The helpline runs each weekday from 08:00 in the morning until 16:30, but it is unavailable during the weekends or on holidays.
• Tell the agent your departure and arrival cities, the dates of your journey, how many people are going and the travel class you want.
• Select flight options: The agent will offer the available flights. Choose the option that suits both your availability and your money.
• Give all travelers’ names and contact information to the authorities.
• Over the Phone, Pay: Fill in your payment details and submit your transaction via the phone.

Check-in online

When flying inside a country, online check-in is possible beginning 24 hours from departure until 90 minutes beforehand and for international trips, it closes 120 minutes before scheduled departure. Enter your flight information on the airline's website to check in online.

According to the airline, when flying inside South Africa, passengers should arrive 90 minutes early; for travel to and from another country, two and a half hours is needed; and for the Johannesburg to US route, passengers should arrive three hours early.
